Villa Gatecrash Spurs Party as Jol is Handed Late Kaboul Present

It was supposed to be a celebration of 125 years of footballing excellence; a fiesta of flicks, tricks, Legends and Lane Favourites, symbolic of the Great Tottenham Tradition.  And, in a way, it was: Spurs somehow contrived to concede four goals to a mediocre Villa side before coming back to equalise in a thrilling race to the wire, distilling much of …

Tottenham Tactics: Martin Jol’s Tactical Rethink Is Costing Us

It often seems like Spurs set out with 11 players on the pitch who are allowed to do as they please. But when we do get it together, it's clear that there are some tactical strategies favoured by Martin Jol: - ...

Who Would We Want From Newcastle?

newcastle_tottenham_defoe_faye_203×152.jpgInteresting article up on Newcastle Online, they've been doing a running series on "Buying From Our Rivals" where they highlight the players they think they could use from other Premier League squads. It's Spurs' ...

Manchester United 1-0 Tottenham: Performance, Not The Result.

We lined up pretty close to how I wanted from a personnel standpoint (only one man off), and played exactly like I wanted from a tactical one as we took full advantage of a Derby side reminiscent of us last week. And the week before. Defenders: No point talking about defensive work, because what Derby put together could not be considered an attack. But even a half fit Lee reminded us how important he is to our formation. Confident on the ball, barely put a foot wrong, and makes a mockery of the idea that you have to have goals and assists to be a key attacking ingredient. Chimbonda was the same on the other side and actually won a couple of those far post headers for once.

Martin Jol Hails Spurs Dressing Room Unrest

0000408710dr.jpgNormally "Tottenham" and "Dressing Room Bust Up" aren't the two sets of words you want to see in the press, but after the capitulation at Sunderland Martin Jol has taken some positives from the fiery ...

Damn You John Toshack, Let Him Heal!

So we made the sacrifice of resting Gareth Bale, resulting in the most inept left sided play since we played Chimbonda there against Sevilla, and now Wales think they can risk him? Apparently so, But Toshack said: "I'm aware that he ...
